60. Boost
The GEN3 ECU allows the user to control boost parameters. Two boost strategies can be employed.
1.
A Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) valve can be used to control boost as a function of engine
RPM. The duty cycle of the valve can be changed as a function of engine speed.
2.
A “staged” boost strategy can also be used. Up to three stages of boost can be switched on
(using solenoid valves) in a user defined, timed sequence. The vehicle can be configured to
come out of the hole with one stage applied and as time (distance down the track) expires, the
second and third stages of boost can be turned on.
The “Boost Parameters” can be configured from the Main Menu screen Tool Bar. Left click on
Boost.” The following screen will open.
